CONDUCTORS
Danielle
Johnson, conductor of
the Concerts Strings and Chamber Orchestra, is sought after as a guest
clinician and adjudicator along the Front Range. An active freelance performer, Johnson has
served as concertmaster for the Niwot Timberline
Symphony and violist in the Steamboat Springs Orchestra. She spends the summer months as Dean of Women
and Interdisciplinary Faculty Instructor for the string chamber music program,
Rocky Mountain Summer Conservatory.
Johnson received her bachelor of music
education from Wheaton CollegeConservatory in Wheaton, Illinois,
and her masters in violin performance/pedagogy at the University of Colorado
at Boulder. She currently teaches orchestra at Mountain
Range High School in the Adams12 District and is an adjunct faculty member for
the Boulder Suzuki Strings. Previously, shetaught for Wheaton's pre-college program, the
International School ofBangkok in Thailand, and the
public schools in Omaha, Nebraska andNorthglenn,
Colorado.
Stephanie Texera, conductor of the Youth
Symphony, is a graduate of Florida
State University
with a Bachelor degree in Music Education (summa cum laude) and the University of Colorado at Boulder with the Master of Music degree in
Instrumental Conducting. She is highly
sought after as a guest clinician, adjudicator, and conductor throughout Colorado. Ms. Texera has taught instrumental music in Colorado and Florida. She is
currently the Director of Bands at Westminster
High School.
